Some sad news this Sunday…
Actress Dixie Carter, who portrayed the sharp-shooting Southern interior designer “Julia Sugarbaker” on Designing Women, has died. Carter was 70. Her husband of 26 years, actor Hal Holbrook says “this has been a terrible blow to our family.” There’s no word on what caused her death.
More recently, Carter had a small recurring role as “Bree’s” mother-in-law, “Gloria Hodge” on Desperate Housewives but here’s Dixie as we’ve all come to know her…
RIP.
