Talk about timing! The Seattle Seahawks take on those
cheating Patriots this Sunday in Super Bowl XLIX. Well Richard Sherman’s longtime girlfriend Ashley is expecting their first son any day. This could prove to be quite a conundrum for Sherman. I mean I’m a woman so I say you betta be bedside when that water breaks brother, but I’m sure some guys would see it differently. This could very well be the last time he plays in the Super Bowl, and if he skips it best believe that kid better never step out of line because he’ll be hearing this story forever! What say you Brewchies?
Mya is doing what she has to do to keep that mortgage paid and organic eggs in her fridge. The radio isn’t exactly checking for her these days, so a lady may have to body roll on stage next to a naked stripper, right? Mya put on the hits during a performance at Miami’s G5ive strip club on Friday, causing the interwebs to go nuts that the songstress and classically trained dancer would perform at de strih cluh.

After just four months on The View, Rosie Perez will not return to the show when her stint on Broadway is over. Perez was expected to take the month of January off to finish her role in the play “Fish in the Dark” and then return to the show, but Variety is reporting that she is not coming back. “Sources” say Rosie never fully caught the hang of the show’s flow or reading the TelePrompTer (shade!) but I’m guessing she’s the smart one who saw that the ship is sinking. FAST!
And, don’t look for the R&B divas of the souf’ on your screen anytime soon. Word is TV One’s new president wants to cut the network’s production budget, so the R&B Divas: Atlanta were notified this week that their show was canceled. Again, “sources” claim casting challenges and pending litigation from the show’s former executive producer and co-star, Nicci
Curvato Gilbert, prevented the show from moving forward. I’m actually going to miss Keke Wyatt’s shtick.
Will you miss Rosie & the divas? Or, will you just find something else to watch?

I love this story. One of my “Top Five”, Eminem, fulfilled a Michigan teen’s dying wish. Gage Garmo died Monday night, after a four year battle with bone cancer. Garmo’s friends started a Twitter campaign to let the rapper know that Garmo wanted to meet him, a Michigan organization then stepped to help. Em flew back and visited the 17-year-old one day before he died.

The legions of complaints and social media dragging worked because VH1 is bringing Sorority Sisters to a quick end. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports:
[T]he remaining three episodes of Atlanta-based “Sorority Sisters” are being burned off three in a row this Friday night.
How badly does VH1 want to put this show into the grave? The final episode will start at the odd time of 11:10 p.m. and end just past midnight. Plus, it’s not even being repeated later that night for West Coast consumption. And Friday tends to be a relatively low TV consumption night.
The move comes on the heels of Alpha Kappa Alpha temporarily suspending the memberships of two cast members. During a recently aired reunion-esque special that was clearly an attempt to “save face” for the show, some of the cast members said they were getting threatening messages because of their
ratchetness while representing their organizations participation. Plus, there were those tons of social media complaints lobbed at the advertisers, forcing many to pull their ads, which –let’s face it– is most likely why this show is getting a quick dump. This shows the power of a united front, for sure. News of the show’s demise hit the internets on the anniversary of Delta Sigma Theta’s founding…so, maybe it’s a Founders Day gift?
Anyway, are you glad this show is about to be over? Did you even watch? And, what show are you planning to boycott next?
