Alicia Keys teamed up with my husband in my head, Maxwell, for a new tune off her upcoming “Girl on Fire” album. And, in keeping with the theme, this little ditty is called “Fire We Make.” Grab you some birth control and take a listen.

“Girl on Fire” drops next Tuesday. So…are you digging this?

DVR Worthy TV: Maxwell VH1 Storytellers

Call me...

Someone at VH1 decided June 17th was Christmas and I thank them in advance for their seasonal dyslexia!   Maxwell’s Storytellers premiers and panties drop in living rooms across America.  Check your local listings for times!

VH1 Storytellers gives artists a chance to talk about their inspiration and the situations surrounding some of the biggest hits in their careers.

Making disclaimers about being nervous, scared, and reluctant to comfortably discuss his craft, the charismatic singer joked that he wished Oprah was there to help him verbalize his thoughts, openly confessing “this is not my forte” at the onset. But as he began knocking out a set list that was heavy with double-platinum, debut album Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite tracks, “Max… from Brooklyn, New York” loosened up quickly, comparing the experience to being on Twitter (but with real avatars), and began to discuss the moments in his career that birthed the baby-making music he’s heralded for. (VH1)

THE SET LIST. YAS!

Brew Rumor Mill: Maxwell Concerts Canceled?

Posted by Witch Hazel | Posted in Brew Rumor Mill, erykah badu, Jill Scott, Maxwell | Posted on 15-06-2010

The word over at FreddyO is Maxwell has canceled the rest of his concerts because he wasn’t mixing well with Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. Apparently, Maxy got p-o’d when both Jilly and Silly E Badu went over on their set times. Maxwell’s shows after the New York stop on June 26th have been postponed or canceled (don’t believe me, do a little Ticketmaster sleuthing and try to buy a ticket for a July show…all you’ll get is “postponed”). Hmmmmm… Maxy. Me no likey.

But I will be there on June 18th in DC. #justsayin
