Snoop Dogg is the pitchman for a new fruit-flavored drink that will compete with Four Loko. “Blast” by Colt 45 contains 12% alcohol (double or triple what’s found in beer). Unlike Four Loko… Blast won’t contain any caffeine though. Caffeine was the ingredient that got Four Loko in trouble when those college students partied a bit too hard with the drink last year.

Pabst Blue Ribbon, the maker of Colt 45 and Blast, says the new product will be available at liquor stores this week. It’ll be offered in four neon flavors: grape, raspberry watermelon, strawberry lemonade and blueberry pomegranate.

With Diddy promoting Ciroc, Ludacris pushing Conjure, Big Boi peddling Crown Royal Black and a number of other rappers plugging drinks in their lyrics and on stage… are you over Hip Hop entertainers pushing alcohol? Or are all kinds of product endorsements welcome? What’s your call?

Taste The Brew for his new one, “Wet”

After much “will she or won’t she” debate on the innawebs, it seems she will!

Guerilla Union, the organizers of the Rock The Bells hip hop festival, announced Lauryn Hill will be a “very special guest” on the tour. Although the bill just says “exclusive Rock The Bells performance,” adding Hill to the lineup gives us fans a little hope.

Also, added to the lineup: Snoop Dogg. He’ll perform his entire 1993 album “Doggystyle,” with Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Lady of Rage and RBX.  And, DJ Premier will do a tribute to Gangstarr. Continue to check the website though because you know these tours can be tricky. Sometimes the whole lineup doesn’t show up in your city.

Here’s hoping we get the full-on show in DC (well, Maryland).
