Good news for Tiny (if there is anything good to come out of a charge). Her drug possession charges in Los Angeles have been dropped. The district attorney’s office dismissed the charges today after Tiny completed a drug diversion program in Georgia. The charges stemmed from her September 2010 arrest, the same incident that gave her husband T.I. a one way trip back to the pokey.

Speaking of pokey… it wasn’t a great weekend for Tip (well, that depends on how you look at it). He got shuttled to a special housing unit in prison after guards discovered he was getting a hand job from Tiny during visiting hours. Awww. Yay married love. (*ok, I got nothin’ for that one*)

In one last interview before returning to prison, T.I. tells Vibe how he got addicted to Oxycontin & Hydrocodone after dental surgeries.

“I had a lot of work done to my teeth. Oral surgery, extractions, six, seven, eight root canals. Between January to February. As soon as I got out, I had a lot of stuff done. In the joint, you eat sh*t that is unhealthy for you. I had fillings that fell out and stuff that had to get dealt with. Of course for the pain they gave me oxycontin and hydrocodone. And, mind you, on October 13, 2007, I had cut off everything―weed, alcohol. Then I get these pills and I start taking them for the pain at first. And then I’m like, Wait―this sh*t makes me feel good. And it’s legal. After the pain went away, I kept taking it. I had like five, six prescriptions. So I had, like 80 pills. Everybody else might have a drink or smoke a blunt, I took a pain pill. Times when I had 18-, 20-hour days, I’d take a pain pill. And eventually I developed―I guess―the beginning stages of dependence.”

See kids…oral care is important [and so is staying out of the joint]. The Tipster also admitted his wife, Tiny, smokes weed but wouldn’t call it a “problem.”

“Her thing is she smokes. Smoking weed is different than taking pain pills. You can smoke weed today and not smoke another blunt for another three months.”

Probably not the best thing to admit when she’s got all the kids and a pending case of her own…

The situation is all FUBAR in the house of the Tipster these days. First, he gets ordered to return to prison and not pass go. Now, his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle finds herself the latest to be in trouble with the law after last month’s arrest in Los Angeles. Today, the LA District Attorney charged Tiny with a misdemeanor for possession of a controlled substance.

T.I. and Tiny were pulled over in September after making an illegal U-turn. Cops then smelled weed and found pills in the car. Turns out, those pills were ecstasy. If convicted, Tiny could do a year behind bars. She’ll be arraigned Monday in Beverly Hills but does not have to appear in court. Ironically, Monday is the same day that T.I. is due to report to prison in Arkansas. So, um, who’s keeping the kids?

While observing a late Twitter debate about just how much time T.I. might serve after his recent arrest in California, I began wondering how much does one woman have to put up with to be “down” for her man. Now, I’m a T.I. fan and I’m happy they got married and wish them the best…yaada yaada (glad we got that out the way) and who am I to know who those drugs belong to, but humor me for a second.

T.I. and Tiny have been dating since 2001. They’ve celebrated the birth of two children and mourned the loss of another. They’ve been through T.I.’s weapons charges and subsequent jail time. Plus, there was that time back in ’07 when their house got raided by the alphabet boys. ‘Memba that? Now, add this latest arrest and that’s a whole lotta self-inflicted shizz to endure in a relationship. Plus, they didn’t actually get married til this year (after rumors of groupies and “Hoopz“…talk about waiting to exhale. Anywho, if you lost brain cells on BET’s Tiny & Toya like I did, you’d know that Tiny has put her dreams on hold because Tip isn’t crazy about her resuming her singing career. Then there’s that rumor that he put the squash on the reality show altogether because he didn’t like shining the spotlight on his family.

In a tweet shortly after T.I. & Tiny’s arrests, 50 Cent suggested that Tiny needs to “take that charge” to keep T.I. out of jail. I know commitment and married life mean for better or worse…but, here’s my question: when does being a “ride or die” chick morph into just being plain stupid?

The couple got popped Wednesday night in West Hollywood for making an illegal u-turn.  Cops smelled marijuana smoke coming from their Maybach and ultimately found what sources say were Ecstasy pills inside the vehicle.  Tip’s probation officer ordered him to return to Atlanta immejitly following his release from LA’s holding cell (or wherever they keep celebrities without sense).

It’s not looking so good in the House of Harris this morning…

The honeymoon is over for T.I. and his wife Tameka Cottle because TMZ has learned they were arrested tonight and booked for the alleged possession of a controlled substance.

Law enforcement sources tell us L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over the multi-platinum selling rapper and his wife in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30PM. Deputies say they smelled marijuana, and after searching the vehicle they arrested T.I. and Tameka.

The couple just got married on July 30 in Miami, and T.I. — real name Clifford Harris Jr. — is on probation after doing seven months in prison on federal weapons charges.

We’re told T.I. and Tameka are in custody right now. Bail amount is $10,000.

UPDATE: They were released around 4 am (PT).

The weekend of weddings got me to thinkin’: which one would I have wanted to snag an invitation to, or at least crash?

First up, the Tiny & T.I. wedding…

I’m thinking there was some premium chicken at this wedding. My inner fat girl is kinda salivating at the soul food she’s imagining on the menu. Hell… I’M salivating at the thought of peach cobbler. If you crash this one, at the very least, you would have eaten well and danced a mean “Cha Cha Slide.” I’d crash just to see how low Tip could go.

Then, there’s the Chelsea & Mark wedding…

This one was rumored to cost upwards of $3 million, including $15,000 porta-potties. Since this was a presidential affair and Bill Clinton doesn’t do anything small, I’m willing to bet there was some top-shelf liquor at this one. I’d crash to get drunk and eat the fancy finger sandwich hors d’oeuvres.

And, lastly, the Alicia & Swizzy wedding…

Now, this one comes with a fancy French chateau and beautiful scenery. It’s also the wedding most likely to have had a Dwayne Wayne “baby please, PLEASE” moment to interrupt the ceremony (#justsayin… Swizzy comes with a lot of drama). But, on the bright side, since Alicia can’t drink, the wedding cake was probably real good (you know how pregnant women are about their treats).

After weeks of speculation (and 9 years of “dating”), we told you last night that Clifford and Tameka finally made it official at a Miami courthouse. Of course, no celebrity pair can simply get married at the courthouse. Save that ish for the hood and the movies (*looking at you Carrie & Mr. Big*). So, Tip and his lady love are planning a 3 city wedding tour.

Us Weekly reports the Harris’ will remix their vows today in a small ceremony on a private island off the coast of Miami (Cuba?). Tiny will wear Valentino for that wedding. Then, they’ll jet off to Atlanta for a reception this afternoon, only to fly to Las Vegas for a reception tonight.

This is better than the James Brown funeral tour.

Tiny & T.I. getting married… finally – YBF

T.I.’s babymaker Tiny went in on someone who was talking nonsense about her on Twitter. You can read the tweet rant here. I don’t have the energy to cut and paste tweets and then breakdown a pseudo-beef on these here innawebs tonight. But, more importantly, what I do want to know is what in da hayell is Tiny taumbout in this tweet? Translation please.

Even though I’m a writer by trade I will admit I’m not the best speller in the world. So when I peeped the invitation for the opening of Tiny’s Nail Bar something didn’t smell right and it wasn’t Tiny’s PACHAMA bottoms either! A quick internet search found the culprit, “Hors D’Oeuvre”? EPIC FAIL! It’s “Hors d’oeuvre”. A small point I know, but if you’re going for the fancy French steze I’mma need you to do a simple internet search first. Tiny you seem like a sweet girl so you get a pass but tell your publicity team to kill the cap lock, stat! And we won’t even address the mix match font issues here. That’s for another post. Congrats on the new venture.
